Archbishop of Canterbury to visit Zimbabwe Sunday (AP)

HARARE, Zimbabwe ? Zimbabwe's top Anglican bishop says the head of the worldwide Anglican church is set to arrive Sunday as "a show of solidarity."

The visit comes amid a bitter dispute led by a breakaway Zimbabwean bishop that has split the church in the southern African nation.

Bishop Chad Gandiya, leader of the mainstream Anglican group, said Friday the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams is visiting Harare to "share our pain."

The Anglican Church in Zimbabwe has been divided since breakaway Bishop Nolbert Kunonga was excommunicated for inciting violence in sermons supporting Zimbabwe's longtime President Robert Mugabe. Kunonga has taken over the main cathedral, schools and the church's bank accounts.
